Google announced it's new product: Knol.Knol is a place that people can write authoritative articles about topics, one of the differences between Knol and services like Wikipedia is authorship. Every knol will have an author (or group of authors) who put their name behind their content,it's their knol, their voice, their opinion. so a single topic can have several knols.(as knol says that's good a thing).

First 3.5 App

I hadn't have enough free space on my hard drive to install VS2008 so I did not start C#3.5 until now.lets make our first Hello World Application.
first in Console:
start your IDE, point to "File" menu and select "New" and then "Project" (I'm sure you know this so lets skip this type descriptions)
until now most of things are like older versions of VS but may some new items are added to the box like "WPF Application", in my oppinion the most intersting thing about this dialog is the ability to choose which version of framework to use,let it stay on 3.5.

BTW select "Console Application" and then. OK it's same old structure except instead of using System.Data we're using System.Linq, we will cover that later, ok what would you do in C# 2.0 for a hello world app,do it here i've added some decoration too.

it was our first .Net 3.5 App but if you want to see real changes check the Windows Apps. to start a Wpf App do what you did for Console but select "WPF Application" instead. don't know about you but in this point i'm impressed top view is design view and below is XML view. lets just say hello and do not get involved by meaning of these things, drag a label on the form it's diffrent, didn't it? right click on label and select properties it's also different find the "Content" item and change the value to "Hello World" do you notice changes on below pane?
you may want to adjust form(window) size. run project and see the result. this was a wpf app and enough for now.

I have Cheated

YouTube isn't Safe Anymore

Google will have to turn over every record of every video watched by YouTube users, including users' names and IP addresses, to Viacom, which is suing Google for allowing clips of its copyright videos to appear on YouTube, a judge ruled Wednesday. Viacom wants the data to prove that infringing material is more popular than user-created videos, which could be used to increase Google's liability if it is found guilty of contributory infringement.

Viacom filed suit against Google in March 2007, seeking more than $1 billion in damages for allowing users to upload clips of Viacom's copyright material. Google argues that the law provides a safe harbor for online services so long as they comply with copyright takedown requests.

Although Google argued that turning over the data would invade its users' privacy, the judge's ruling (.pdf) described that argument as "speculative" and ordered Google to turn over the logs on a set of four tera-byte hard drives.

Microsoft's XP SP3 Patch Fixes Anti-Virus Glitch

Microsoft issued a hotfix for Windows XP Service Pack 3 last week that it says "could resolve" a Windows registry corruption problem associated with third-party security software. The problem was first discovered just over a month ago, and it notably affected users of Symantec's Norton Antivirus suite of products.

Some users who installed XP SP3 reported seeing garbled system entries that cluttered the Windows registry. The corruption in the registry led to problems such as lost Internet and wireless connections, along with uninitiated restarts caused by sporadic registry subkeys.

Microsoft provided an explanation for the problem in a Knowledgebase posting on Friday. The issue "occurs when the Fixccs.exe process is called during the Windows XP SP3 installation," the KB article explains. "This process creates some intermediate registry subkeys, and it later deletes these subkeys. In some cases, some antivirus applications may not let the Fixccs.exe process delete these intermediate registry subkeys." When the problem occurs, "certain applications" within Windows, such as "Device Manager and Network Connections" may be unable to function, Redmond added.

Robert RedFord is also director of this movie so you may guess the theme of the film, thing that make me more curious about movie was mentioning Iran, the nuclear Iran.I can't figure out how US government can connect Iran with nuclear bombs that's bullsh*t. however movie worth to watch.
